There are many Health and Safety Hazards in the 3D Printing Industry (Additive Manufacturing Technology). 3D Printing generates UFP’s (Ultra Fine Particles) and Nanoparticles. These particles are both toxic and combustible. Exposure to these dusts can have adverse effects including cardio-respiratory problems, strokes and asthma symptoms.
Reactive and highly combustible powder metals are also used in the fabrication of 3D printed metal alloy tools and parts. Finely divided metal powders, such as aluminum, magnesium and titanium can spontaneously combust causing a fire and/or explosion.
PrestiVac Vacuum Cleaner are specifically designed to safely vacuum and collect the hazardous dusts generated in 3D Printing.
